Catherine Meatheringham is a children’s author. She writes books to encourage children to join in with the story.

Her books are published by Windy Hollow Books and include My Possum Plays the Drums, illustrated by Max Hamilton (2020); All Dogs Bark, illustrated by Deb Hudson (2021); Knock Knock, illustrated by Deb Hudson (2023) and Our Home, illustrated by Max Hamilton (May 2024).

My Possum Plays the Drums and All Dogs Bark were shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards (2020 and 2022). All Dogs Bark received a Highly Commended Award in the ACT Notable Awards in 2022. 

Catherine is on the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators ACT Committee, where she organises professional development and networking events for aspiring and emerging authors and illustrators.

 

She lives in Canberra with her husband, two children, a noisy possum that keeps her awake at night, her dog and three chickens.
